Col. Jason Costello

A US Air Force Colonel assigned to the North American Aerospace Defense Command- Northern Command HQ in Colorado is looking at a court-martial in a few months after being charged with sexual assault and assault.

Colonel Jason Costello has been accused of three counts of sexual assault and two counts of assault in accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Assigned to Peterson AFB in Colorado, Costello was supposed to go to trial in October, but his court date was postponed for March 4.

According to the Air Force Times. Costello is accused of having sex with a woman while she was sleeping, digitally penetrating a second woman and grouping another on more than one occasion, with all offenses taking place between 2012 and 2014.

Costello also assaulted an individual in November or December of 2013, striking him in the face and forcefully grabbing the person.

The colonel previously served at the 325th Training Support Squadron in Florida, and also served as an F-22 instructor.

NORAD and U.S. Northern Command spokesman Michael Kucharek reported that Costello is still on active duty status, assigned to NORAD and NORTHCOM since 2017.
