A U.S. Air Force Academy cadet is dead after a commercial skydiving accident Sunday east of Colorado Springs, authorities tell The Denver Post.
Shortly before 1 p.m., El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of a parachuting accident. Although paramedics began live-saving efforts … they weren’t successful, the Post reports.
Neither the cadet’s name nor details surrounding the jump were released pending identification of the cadet by the coroner and notification of relatives.
The Denver Post says El Paso deputies reported the accident to the Federal Aviation Administration.
